AboutThis is my blog pinboard of all my favourite things, especially on beauty, fashion and all wonderful things worth sharing.
Right, I don’t really know what that meant but all I know is it has a fresh floral fruity (I can’t decide) scent with a little girlish twist. I love it! Am contemplating getting the larger bottle when my miniature runs out.
Miss Dior Cherie has top notes of green tangerine and strawberry leaves. The Heart notes of Miss Dior Cherie is violette, pink jasmine, carmelized popcorn, and strawberry sorbet. Base notes of fresh patchouli and crystalline musk.
Sometimes in our relentless effort to find the person we love, we fail to recognize and appreciate the people who love us. We miss out on so many beautiful things simply because we allow ourselves to be enslaved by our own selfish concerns.
Go for the man/woman of deeds and not for the man/woman of words, for you will find rewarding happiness, not with the man/woman you love but with the man/woman who loves you more.
The best lovers are those capable of loving from a distance far enough to allow the person to grow but never too far to feel the love within your being.
To let go of someone doesn’t mean you have to stop loving; it only means that you allow that person to find his/her own happiness without expecting him/her to come back. Letting go is not just setting the other person free, but is also setting yourself free from all the bitterness, hatred, and anger that you keep in your heart. Do not let the bitterness take away your strength and weaken your faith, and never allow pain to dishearten you; but rather let yourself grow with wisdom in bearing it.
You may find peace in loving someone from a distance not expecting something in return. But be careful, for this can sustain life but can never give enough room for us to grow. We can all survive with just beautiful memories of the past, but real peace and happiness come only with open acceptance of what reality is today.
There comes a time in our lives when we chance upon someone so nice and beautiful and we just find ourselves so intensely attracted to that person. This feeling soon becomes a part of our everyday lives and eventually consumes our thoughts and actions. The sad part of it is when we begin to realize that this person feels nothing more for us than just a friendship. We start our desperate attempt to get noticed and be closer, but in the end our efforts are still unrewarded and we end up being sorry for ourselves. You don’t have to forget someone you love. What you need to learn is how to accept the verdict of reality without being bitter or sorry for yourself. Believe me, you would be better off giving that dedication and love to someone more deserving.
Don’t let your heart run your life, be sensible and let your mind speak for itself. Listen not only to your feelings but to reason as well.
Always remember that if you lose someone today, it means that someone better is coming tomorrow. If you lose love, that doesn’t mean you failed in love.
Cry if you have to, but make sure that tears wash away the hurt and the bitterness that the past has left with you. Let go of yesterday and love will find its way back to you. And when it does, pray that it may be the love that will stay and last a lifetime.
There are two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
There is no mistake so painful that love cannot forgive, no past so bitter that love cannot accept, and no love so little that we cannot start all over with.
Oh, hello there! Sorry I’m late. I just go back from a lunch. Twas a very lovely meal. Oh, you like my dress? Its from Calvin Klein.Anyway, I just have to rant about how tired I am, thank goodness for my Touche Veloutee concealer that hid all my dark circles from last night’s party! I swear, it is such a bother attending paries! The only plus was that I got to put on my new Luella Organza dress. I will admit I was a little lazy last night with my makeup, just dabbed on some hues from the Bengali Palette by Chantecaille and left with a spritz of Chloe. I almost forgot to bring the Dior baby shower gift! You know then one we shopped for the other time? Yeah, luckily I remembered to grab it before rushing into the limo waiting outside. Oh the party was alright, almost had some wine spilled on my Zelig canvas shoulder bag! Imagine if I were carrying my white Jimmy Choo Maia calf hobo, it’d would’ve been stained all red! Ugh, the weather is just so awful. Let me just get my makeup off with my Chantecaille Rose Eye Makeup remover and maybe later we could head down to the pool. Oh? You didn’t bring your swim wear? Oh nevermind, I’ve got an extra. You should be able to fit into my La Perla Maija swimsuit! We’re the same size anyway. Oh and do be a darling and remind me to grab my James Smith Pagoda brolly before we go. I’d hate to get sunburnt! The whole chunk of words just cost £3233. (no, I didn’t count the party wine in) Ah, lifestyles of the rich and the famous!
I purchased samples of these the other day in various quantities since I was looking for a UV whitening makeup base. Perfect!

Yesterday, I attempted the OCM that has been highly raved by so many people. The basic principle is in using oil to dissolve dirt and other oil seeds, blackheads or impurities on the skin.
It does make sense really. Something like using thinner to remove paint instead of using water. Okay, bad analogy.
Basically, it involves massaging the oil over your face for about 8-10mins and after that wiping it off with hot water and a towel and repeat it again if necessary.
I don’t really have problematic skin but it did feel quite soothing and comfortable to massage the oil into my face and wipe it off with warm water. I did not wash my face with a cleanser after this but instead used a witch hazel rose water toner and a cotton bud to swipe over my face. My face felt quite smooth, supple and most importantly clean.
Next, I attempted it on my boyfriend. Now, his skin is indeed quite problematic, think acne (when he was younger) and very large clogged pores. I massaged the oil onto his skin and true enough, oil seeds started coming off and I could feel it as I massaged his face. It was gross and thrilling at the same time!! After repeating the process again, quite a lot of his oil seeds were cleared. However, there were a few stubborn ones that remained but these were easy enough to pluck out with tweezers and so we did.
In my opinion, his skin did feel much softer and smoother than before. And I was so excited to try it out on him again! He is such a patient boyfriend yes? ;)
My only gripe about it is that it is time consuming and quite a hassle to wash the towels daily. However, it works! And I’ll be doing it weekly for myself and probably daily for my boyfriend.
According to Vivawoman, my FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil can be used for OCM too so I’m going to attempt it soon!
